Originally a segment of their live set for one of Mesma’s Mesmarize events in Brooklyn in 2020, Replant is part of Otodojo's upcoming EP Uproot & Replant (An Ode to Forests). The EP is a collection of four progressive compositions, lush and explosive worlds of sounds and textures neighboring ambient, dub and downtempo territories. The four tracks all combine Otodojo’s distinctive sound, Kalimba loops and natural harmonies as expansive other-worldly panoramas. Otodojo is a prolific New York-born producer, visual artist and organizer of the community-driven parties Microtones that ran in Ithaca (NY) for five years before moving to Detroit with them. Long time friend of the label, we’re honored to have them join the Mesma catalog and family.
